Annotated Maps of Charlottesville

Mandy Owen is excited about Google’s new user-generated maps, and even shows how to use it, sharing her very own annotated map of Charlottesville. This new Google Maps feature really lowers the barrier to creation of annotated web-based maps. Who will create a Google Map of Section 8 housing? Murders for the past decade? Restaurants? The top ten places to have sex at UVa? Bring it on, people.

Cool. :) I haven’t set aside the time to create any myself yet, because I just know it’ll suck me in for hours.
