Gray Television plans to launch a 24/7 weather channel in a few weeks, The Hook reports. Isn’t a weather channel kind of like the phone book — totally obsoleted by the internet?

They are jumping in ahead of channel 29 having NBC’s 24 hour weather on 29.2. I’ve heard they are ready to go at any moment.

The TV is just faster, unless you are already online.

Over the winter I used Richmond’s 24 hour weather (on 6.2 and 12.2) every morning to get a quick weather update.

Maybe Kristina Cruise can get her old job back guessing weather since she was booted off the 5!
